Volt is immediately hiring for Inside Sales Assistant in Santa Barbara, CA

As an Inside Sales Assistant you will:

Efficiently manage data entry tasks within our ERP system to keep operations running smoothly.
Communicate professionally with customers via phone, email, and chat, ensuring their needs are met with excellence.
Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to handle various tasks and support the sales team.
Assist with inside sales activities, providing crucial support to our sales team.
Quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes, contributing to continuous improvement.

This is a Full-Time, temp-to-hire opportunity.

Regular Hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Extended Hours: Assist with invoicing on Wednesdays and Thursdays, potentially extending the workday until 8:00 PM.
Occasional Saturdays: Depending on workload, occasional Saturday work may be required.



The ideal candidate will have:

Essential experience with data entry in an ERP system.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with customers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Previous experience in inside sales is a strong plus.
Ability to quickly pick up new systems and processes.
Bring an upbeat and enthusiastic presence to our office, helping to energize the team.
Friendly, proactive, and focused on understanding and addressing customer needs.
Accurate in order entry, pricing, documentation, and follow-ups. Manage multiple tasks, accounts, and priorities effectively.
Collaborate well with various departments and support sales, invoicing, and operations.
Familiar with CRM systems (e.g., Sage) and proficient with Excel, email platforms, and order management tools.
Handle pressure well and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
Take initiative and work independently

Pay Rate: $21-$23 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
